第七章 连词

【名师导读】

第一步学习目标：掌握连词的基本用法，记住常见的连词短语。

中考试题中有关连词的考点，主要是同类连词的用法辨析、不同连词意义的比较、连词在祈使句中的运用、连词短语的用法等。通常出现在单项选择题、同义句转换等题型中。

【考点一】并列连词的用法

and: 和，表示并列关系

but: 但是，表示转折关系（无逗号）

however 然而，表转折关系（有逗号）

so: 因此，表示结果

or: 或者，否则，表示选择关系，也可表示转折

例如：(1) My father bought me a present, and I like it very much. 爸爸给我买了一件礼物，我非常喜欢。

(2) I can swim now, but I couldn’t swim at all at the age of ten. 我现在会游泳，但我五岁时我不会。

(3) Hurry up, or we’ll be late for class.　快点，否则我们上课就迟到了。

【注意】

(1) because与so不能同时出现在同一个句子中。

(2) though/although与but也不能同时出现在同一个句子中。

【考点二】常用连词词组辨析

1. both …and …  …和…都…，既…又…，表肯定，连接两个主语时用复数。

not only …but also… 　不但…而且…，表肯定，连接两个主语时用就近原则。

either …or …  或者…或者…，表两者之一，表肯定，连接两个主语时用就近原则。

neither …nor … 既不…也不…，两者都不，表否定，连接两个主语时用就近原则。

例如：(1) Both Lucy and Lily are students. 露西和莉莉都是学生。

(2) Not only Lucy but also Lily is a student. 不但露西而且莉莉都是学生。

(3) Neither Lucy nor Lily is a student. 露西和莉莉都不是学生。

(4) Either Lucy or Lily can go with you, because one of them must help his mother do housework. 要么露西和你去，要么莉莉和你去，因为她们中必须有一个要帮助妈妈做家务。

2. not …until…  直到…才…

例如：昨晚直到她回来我才睡觉。

I didn’t go to bed until she came back last night. 

=I went to bed after she came back last night. 

=I didn’t go to bed before she came back.
