莱昂纳多主演《了不起的盖茨比》 将揭幕戛纳电影节

The Great Gatsby, starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Carey Mulligan, will open the Cannes Film Festival 2013.

由莱昂纳多·迪卡普里奥和凯瑞·穆里根领衔主演的美国大片《了不起的盖茨比》将揭幕第66届戛纳国际电影节。

Having been scheduled for release in December 2012 but postponed for further production, it has been confirmed that The Great Gatsby, starring Leonardo DiCarprio and Carey Mulligan, will be the first film screened at the Cannes Film Festival 2013.

该影片原定于在去年的圣诞节正式上映，但由于后期的制作问题而推迟。经证实，确定该影片为本届戛纳电影节的开幕影片。

The screen adaptation of the much-loved F. Scott Fitzgerald novel has been the talk of the town while more and more details of Baz Lurhmann’s vast production emerge, including the news that Miuccia Prada had a hand in the costumes and Tiffany & Co provided the jewellery.

On hearing the news, director Baz Lurhmann admitted: “It is a great honour for all those who have worked on The Great Gatsby to open Cannes Film Festival.”

No doubt there will be a flashbulb frenzy come 15 May 2013 when the stars hit the Cannes Film Festival red carpet.
