Standard Cell 介绍——Cell命名规则与特性

这是集成电路物理设计的第二个系列【standard cell】的第一篇文章，本篇文章从standard cell命名规则说起（TSMC standard cell）：

5，Track Height

• 不同的standard cell的高度代表不同的性能。
  

• Smaller transistors standard cells

  6T/7T standard cells
  Ultra high density and low power
  

• Medium size transistor  standard cells

  9T/10T standard cells
  High density and low power and good performance
  

• Large transistors standard cells

  12/13T standard cells
  optimal performance but large area
  
  

6，Drive Strength

• standard cell名称中的Dx代表该cell的驱动能力，x值越大，cell的驱动能力越强，同时面积和功耗越大。

• 如果我们需要增加cell的驱动能力，则需要增加晶体管的宽度，在standard cell高度不变的情况下，可以通过transistor folding方式实现。

  
  
  

7，Gate Length

• 不同的standard cell的沟道长度，有不同的delay值和不同的功耗。

• standard cell的沟道越长，其cell的delay越大，功耗越小。
