王尔德毒舌的天才
不知道有多少人曾经像词典君一样被《快乐王子》这个打着童话名号的故事给虐惨了，它的作者，就是王尔德。
他是英国（准确来讲是爱尔兰，但当时由英国统治）19世纪最伟大的作家与艺术家之一；他是英国历史上有名的同性恋，因此遭受过牢狱之灾，并在20世纪末、21世纪初成为了同志群体的文化偶像。他傲娇，毒舌，反鸡汤，他是19世纪的“段子手”，犀利地吐槽着一切，拉得一把好仇恨。
轶闻
1881年，王尔德坐船横跨大洋来到美利坚，进关的时候傲然地对海关官员翻了个白眼说：“我没有什么可以申报的，除了我的才华。” (I have nothing to declare except my genius.)
当然这只是一段野史，王尔德到底是不是说过这句话如今已很难考证。但即便是伪造，这句话也完全符合王尔德的身份、性格和气质，因为王尔德就是这么一个恃才傲物又舌灿莲花的毒舌天才。
在他短短46年的传奇人生里，王尔德留下了无数惊世骇俗又逼格甚高的妙句，其中不少是他作品中人物的话。
他嘲讽所有人
他嘲讽他的敌人：
Always forgive your enemies. Nothing annoys them so much.
永远要宽恕你的敌人。没有什么比这更能让他们心烦的了。
他也嘲讽自己的朋友：
I don't want to go to heaven. None of my friends are there.
我不想去天堂，我的朋友都不在那里。
他嘲讽悲观主义者：
Always borrow money from a pessimist. He won't expect it back.
借钱就要向悲观主义者借，因为他们不会期待你还钱。”
他嘲讽好为人师的人：
The only thing to do with good advice is to pass it on. It is never of any use to oneself.
