Good afternoon, everyone. I am xxx. I am from xxx middle school. It is my great honor to be here to present my lesson. My teaching topic is An Interesting Job.I will ltalk about it by five parts:

Part 1 the analysis of teaching material

Part2 the analysis of students

Part3 the analysis of teaching methods 

Part4the analysis of teaching procedures

Part5 blackboard design.

OK. I will start with Part 1   The analysis of teaching material

1. Status and function :This is a reading article. It talks about how to describe people’s looks.

2.Teaching aims and demands: there are knowledge aims, ability aims and emotional aim.

First, the knowledge aims are enable ss to master the new words, phrases,and know how to describe people’s looks.

Second, the ability aims are to develop ss’ reading abilities and skills, to train ss’ abilities of using language to guide ss to describe people’s looks. Also they know how to cooperate.

Thirdthe emotional aims are to arouse ss’ interest in English learning and know the importance of cooperation.

3. Teaching key points and difficult points:

Teaching key points are enable ss to understand the article well and develop their reading skills.

Difficult points are enable ss to describe people’s looks correctly. 

Part 2  The analysis of students

The Ss have learned English for some years. They are curious about new things and have a strong desire to learn better.But their reading abilities are different from each other. They need teacher’s help and encouragement in their study.

Let’s move on to another part.

Part 3   Teaching methods

In my lesson, I will use a tape player,a multimedia and cooperation method.

Part 4  Teaching procedures

There are five steps in my teaching procedures. But before my lesson, I will divide ss into some groups to do cooperation work .

Step 1 Lead in

Show a picture to ss ,the ss answer.

T: Who is he doing?  What is his job?

Well, today let’s talk about this job.  

Purpose:the ss can be interested in the article and pay their attention to our class easily. 

Step 2 Reading for outline.

1.Do a guessing game.  Ask ss to guess who looks like a criminal.

2.Ss read the article as quickly as they can and answer the questions.

Purpose:By this, ss can be interested in the article and train their abilities of reading quickly and after reading,they can master the main idea of the article. 

Step 4  Reading for details.

1. Listen to the tape and underline the words that they don’t know.

2.Learn the new words and guess the meaning of the new words.

3.Match the new words and phrases with the Chinese meanings.

4.Ss read the article carefully, then discuss in groups to finish the  exercises .

Purpose: When they listen to the tape ,they focus on the words that they don’t know, when they study the words, they will pay more attention. When they talk in groups,they know how to cooperate.

Step 5 Reading for appreciation.

1. Translate the sentences.

2. Ask ss to describe the three persons in the article.

3. Ask ss to describe me.

4. Play a game: Ask four ss to come to the blackboard. The teacher gives one student some key words, he remembers the word as quickly as he can ,then pass the word to the second one, the second one passes to the third one ,the fourth one. Then the fourth one uses the words to make sentences.   

By this, ss know how to describe people’s looks and they can learn knowledge in the relaxing atmosphere.It can also develop their interest and they love to do the work.   

Step 5  Homework.

Go over the lesson and describe their mothers. 

Purpose: Master the language points and develop the ability of writing.

Part 5 Blackboard  Design

This is my blackboard design. My blackboard design will show ss the important points of my classes.
