1.我知道这项工作是要处理日常工作。I know this job is handling routine tasks.

2.我能处理英语文档。I can handle English files.

3.我有几年秘书经验。I have several years of experience in secretarial work.

4.我能记录下正常速度的口述内容。I can take dictation at ordinary speed.

5.我是原来单位里惟一会速记的人。I was the only one there who could take shorthand.

6.我会操作传真机和复印机。I can operate a fax machine and a photocopier.

7.我修了秘书原理、办公管理、商务英语等课程。I've taken such courses as secretarial principles, office administration, business English, etc.

8.做上一份工作时，我每天都要打字、处理文档。In my previous job, I did typing and filing every day.

9.我的任务是安排预约以及许多辅助性工作。My tasks are setting up appointments and taking care of a lot of support work.

Applying for a Position as a Secretary 应聘秘书

Interviewer:  What kind of job are you interested in?

面试官：你对什么工作感兴趣？

Annie:  I want a job in which I can use English. I would also like to be able to have some responsibility in my work.

安妮：我想做一份能用得着英语的工作。也希望我的工作能负有一些责任。

Interviewer:  I really appreciate that. I would expect my secretary to be able to work independently, and take over some of my ordinary responsibilities, such as answering routine correspondence, taking phone calls for me, and sometimes assisting me with personal affairs.

面试官：我很欣赏这一点。我希望我的秘书能够独立工作，并接办我一些平常的工作职责，比如回复日常书信，替我接电话，有时帮我处理一些私人事务等。

Annie:  Yes. I see. In my previous job, I did typing and filing every day.

安妮：是的，我明白。做上一份工作时，我每天都要打字、处理文档。

Interviewer:  Have you had any experience as a guide?

面试官：你有当导游的经验吗？

Annie: Well, not exactly. But I have shown some of my foreign friends around in Beijing.

Interviewer:  Once in a while we have visitors from abroad, and I would like to be able to ask my secretary to take them shopping and sightseeing.
