Jamaica's Blue Mountain Coffee

1月12日，牙买加蓝山咖啡日五周年特别庆祝活动在京举办。牙买加咖啡种植者协会主席诺曼·格兰特（Norman Grant）参议员、牙买加农业商品监管局咖啡部高级总监贺文·威利斯（Hervin Willis）先生、万鸿泰科技首席执行官张祖新（Zhang Zuxin）先生、部分外交使节成员代表及媒体代表等应邀出席。

On January 12, a special event was held in Beijing to celebrate the fifth anniversary of the Jamaican Blue Mountain Coffee Day. Senator Norman Grant, Chairman of the Jamaican Coffee Growers Association; Mr. Hervin Willis, Senior Director of the Coffee Department of the Jamaica Agricultural Commodity Regulatory Authority; Zhang Zuxin, CEO of Wanhongtai Technology;  representatives of some diplomatic envoys and the media were invited to attend.

牙买加驻华大使丘伟基（Antonia Hugh）阁下在发言中说：牙买加蓝山咖啡是牙买加最有经验的咖啡种植者用高超技术和细心呵护的产物。他们的专业知识加上牙买加农业商品管理局严格的质量保证标准，确保了只有最好的豆子才能出口。牙买加咖啡生产商非常重视可持续的生产方法。所有这些都因其在不损害自然环境的情况下保持高质量的能力而受到认可。它们还带有雨林联盟认证——证明牙买加的咖啡农尊重可持续性的三大支柱：社会，经济和环境。除了充满活力的文化和自然美景之外，牙买加的价值还在于其友好的商业环境、受过教育和培训的劳动力、稳定的民主、坚实的基础设施和战略位置。牙买加还拥有丰富的自然资源，如丰富的铝土矿、优质石灰石和大理石矿藏。

His Excellency Antonia Hugh, the Jamaican Ambassador to China, said in his speech: the Jamaican Blue Mountain Coffee is the product of the superb technology and thoughtfulness of the country’s most experienced coffee growers. Their expertise, combined with the strict quality assurance standards of the Jamaica Agricultural Commodities Authority, ensures that only the best beans are exported. Jamaican coffee producers place great emphasis on sustainable production methods. All the products are recognized for their ability to maintain high quality without harming the natural environment. They also carry Rainforest Alliance certification - proof that Jamaica's coffee farmers respect the three pillars of sustainability: society, economy and environment. In addition to its vibrant culture and natural beauty, Jamaica is valued for its business-friendly environment, well-educated workforce, stable democracy, solid infrastructure and strategic location. Jamaica is also rich in natural resources, such as rich deposits of bauxite, high-quality limestone and marble.
