英语中时间的各种表达方法，初学者必看

掌握时间的各种提问方式及回答方法，提高日常口语能力。

一、对时间进行提问，通常有以下几种方式：

What time is it?

What is the time?

Do you have the time?

Do you know what time it is?

二、更有礼貌的表达方式，特别是对于陌生人：

Can you tell me what time it is, please?

Could you tell me the time, please?

三、对时间进行提问的句式：

What time…?

When..?

四、对时间提问常用的回答：

1、用整点来回答，常用的格式是 It is/it's + 数字 + (o’clock /…:00)，省略o'clock 的回答比较不正式，例如：

It is five o’clock. (5:00) 或 It’s five.

It’s ten o’clock (10:00) 或 It’s ten.

It is seven o’clock (07:00) 或 It’s seven.

It’s one o’clock (01:00) 或 It’s one.

2、用半个小时来回答，常用的格式是 It is half past + 数字，“数字 + thirty”的回答比较不正式，例如：

It is half past eleven. (11:30) 或 eleven thirty.

It is half past seven. ( 07:30 ) 或 seven thirty.

It is half past one.( 01:30 ) 或 one thirty.

3、用一刻钟回答，常用的格式是 It is (a) quarter past … (某个小时过一刻钟) 和 It is (a) quarter to … (某个小时前一刻钟)，“数字 + fifteen/forty-five”的回答比较不正式，例如：

It is (a) quarter past eight. (8:15) 或 eight fifteen.

It is (a) quarter to three. (02:45) 或 two forty-five.

It is (a) quarter past twelve. (12:15) 或 twelve thirteen.

4、用其他的方式回答，分钟数在1到30之间的用 past，在30到60之间的用 to，常用的格式是：  

a、It is (it’s) … minutes past /to …，例如：

It’s five minutes to nine. (08:55)

It’s three minutes past seven. (07:13)

It is nine minutes to three. (2:51)

It’s eight minutes past one. (01:08)

b、It’s + hour + minutes，例如：

It’s eight fifty-five. (08:55)

It’s seven thirteen. (07:13)

It is two fifty-one. (2:51)

It’s one zero-eight. (01:08)

五、在英语中通常不用24小时制，用 a.m.(am) 和 p.m.(pm)，a.m. 用于早上，p.m. 用于下午和晚上，例如：

3am = Three o’clock in the morning = 早上3点

3pm = Three o’clock in the afternoon =下午3点
