有关表达“个人建议”的文章是开放式或半开放式作文，个人建议的表达实际上是在写作中体现“个性”发挥的一个有效形式。要注意以下几个方面的问题：
一、事实情况的叙述与建议的提出要有自然的衔接或过渡。
1. 根据写作提示，经过仔细的审题，将具体的现实状况描写清楚，可以作为建议提出的基础或根据，增加建议的合理性、针对性和可信度。
2. 事实与建议的衔接方式可以是一个词，如：so，then等，也可以是短语或句子结构，如：in that case，for fear that，in this way等；在提出多个建议时，它们之间要有自然过渡或意义递进的词语(组)，常见的有furthermore，what’s more，on the other hand，on the contrary，in others words，after all，not only … but also等。
二、建议写作的语言要中肯、诚实。
提出的建议除了要具有科学性外，还要体现作者诚实的态度和严谨的写作风格。有时，还有必要加上一些提示性的语言，以表明是作者引用别人的思想或作者自己的想法，避免建议的独断或不合理性。例如，可以借用下面的表达方法：in my opinion，as far as I am concerned，according to somebody’s theory，study shows that，as you can see等。
