双语外教日记：Review of Lessons

Dear Diary,

     Well, this week hasn't been too significant. I've just been teaching my classes and Madeleine and I have been staying in our apartment most of the week since it's been rainy. This week I gave my students a Review Lesson so we talked about everything that I've taught them thus far. I think that it was good to go over what we've learned and to see how much information they've retained. Together as a class we wrote a review of important things that we've learned this semester. Then, after the students wrote their reviews I made up a little game of basketball. I took the waste basket from the back of class which I thing they were surprised by. I  also think I made my students a little nervous when I grabbed the waste basket and told them we'd use it to play a game. But once they realized what we were doing I think they enjoyed it. I would ask the students a question from the review and if they got it correct they got to come up and throw the homemade ball I made into the waste basket. They could either shoot for a one or two point shot. It was fun playing games with my students and I think it made the review more enjoyable to them. 

     I also have been asking my students what they would like to learn more about, and having them give me ideas of lesson topics they would like. I want to teach them things they enjoy as well as teach them things that will benefit their English. I hope to continue to teach them in the way that's best for them for the remainder of time I'm here. It's been great spending more time with the students and building more relationships since I've been in China longer now. There are some really great kids and this school.

亲爱的日记，

        这周没有发生什么特别的事情。因为下雨，我们所做的事就是教书和待在宿舍。这周课上，我给学生们复习了我这学期教他们的所有内容。我觉得复习是一个很好的检测他们对已学知识掌握情况的方式。我和同学们一起写下了我们本学期学习的重点知识。然后，我和学生玩了一个名为“篮球“的游戏。我把教室后面的垃圾篓作为“篮球筐”（这个举动让学生很是诧异）。我也感觉到当我说用垃圾篓来玩一个游戏时，他们有点紧张。但，当他们了解了游戏规则后，他们就乐在其中了。游戏是这样的：我会问学生一个关于所学知识的问题，如果他们回答正确了，他们就可以起身将我制作的“篮球”投入垃圾篓中，有两次投的机会，投中一次得一分。跟学生们玩游戏使复习的过程更快乐了。

        课上，我还问了学生他们期待学习哪个方面的内容，并让他们告诉我一些学习的话题。我想交给学生既感兴趣又有利于他们英语学习的东西。我希望，在接下来我给他们上课的日子里找到适合他们、他们喜欢的教学方式和内容。我来中国以后，一直尽可能多花时间跟学生在一起交流知识、增进感情。他们真是很棒的学生！
