《经济》：在全球经济放缓的情况下，中国的投资价值在哪里？
罗杰斯: Things are already slowing in some parts of the world as they always do before everyone feels the pain. Some parts of China are too especially the ones dealing outside China where problems are beginning. Plus China is correctly cutting back on all the debt built up in recent years. Cutting debt slows things even when it is the right thing to do. Expanding debt can speed things up even though it often leads to problems later.（通常在人们感知到经济低迷带来的痛苦之前，世界上很多地方就已经出现很多的迹象了。中国的一些地方也是如此，尤其是那些需要处理境外问题的区域。此外，中国正在削减近年来累积的所有债务。这是一件正确的事情，即便会让发展速度变慢。因为尽管扩大债务规模可以加快速度，但接下来往往会导致很多问题。）
Some parts of the Chinese economy will be less badly affected however since China is emphasizing some things such as pollution cleanup, one belt, one road [which is one of the most exciting things in the 21st century], tourism, rural/countryside/agriculture.The sectors receiving incentives will be hurt less and some will do well no matter what.
（预计中国经济受到的影响不会那么严重，因为中国正在推进“一带一路”，这可以说是21世纪最令人兴奋的事情之一，此外污染防治、旅游、三农等受到政策利好推动的行业会受到经济下行冲击的影响会小一些。）
《经济》:经验和才能，对于投资人来说哪个更重要？
罗杰斯:Eventually experience.（最终还是经验更重要。）
《经济》:过去几年，您经常来中国，最喜欢的城市是哪一个？
罗杰斯:Ah, several. At one point Shanghai. Dalian. It depends on when! I am very keen on all I have seen. It is an extremely exciting time in Chinese history.（很多城市都很好，一度非常喜欢上海、大连，这取决于不同的时间。我对所看到的一切都很感兴趣。中国的历史非常吸引我。）
《经济》:在很多人看来，您是一位伟大的父亲，充满智慧，也很慈爱，您希望自己的孩子们像您一样吗？
罗杰斯: I want them to figure out their own passions and pursue them no matter what I think or even If I object. Those are the most successful and happiest people. Even if they are not wildly successful, it does not matter since they are happy.（我希望他们能找到让自己充满激情的方向，不管我是否反对，都不断地追逐它，那样才能成为最成功、最幸福的人。即使他们不是非常成功，也没关系，快乐就好。）
