四年级上Unit4lesson22英语说课设计

dear teachers .Its my great honor to present my teaching plan of Unit 4 lesson 22 with you. Now let me describe my teaching plan from the following six aspects: Students analysis, teaching materials, teaching objectives ,teaching framework, teaching procedures and blackboard design

First and foremost. Lets analyze the students

Our students are in Grade 4.They are active and creative. After learning English for about two years, they have learnt some English foundation and some basic approaches of learning English, They have learnt some words about weather, so they are familiar with the topic “How’s the weather today?”

Secondly, let's analyze teaching materials.

This lesson is chosen from Unit4 lesson22 “How’s the weather today?”Its about the weather changes. In the past, we have learnt some topics about weather, we have learnt some words like hot ,warm, cool and cold. We have learnt sentences like“Hows the weather today?” Its …sunny\cloudy. Now, this lesson the topic is ask and answer questions about weather. We will learn some words like sunny and cloudy .The new sentences are “How’s the weather today? It’s …sunny\cloudy.”

Next, the teaching objectives will be discussed.

Based on the Core competence of English discipline ,I will talk about the teaching objectives from 3 points.

The first one is linguistic competence.

At the end of the lesson ,students will be able to read and use these words: sunny and cloudy to ask and answer about weather. They are also able to use the sentence patterns: “How’s the weather today? It’s …sunny\cloudy.”

  The second one is learning ability and thinking ability .

After learning the lesson, their self-learning ability and cooperation learning ability will be improved. Students will develop their creative thinking ability and independent thinking ability.

The last one is emotional objective.

Students will know more about how the ancestors forecast weather. Students will feel the curriculum reform from this lesson. Students should use the target sentences to ask and answer weather.

According to the students ability and teaching materials. In order to achieve the teaching objectives, I designed this teaching situation.

Its fine today  ,Lisa will go shopping with her mom . Its fine when they go out. But there are lots of clouds in the sky after a while. Then we can see what happened.

Here comes the most important part---Teaching procedures.

The first stage is pre-task preparations

At the beginning of the class, Im going to do the warm-up .Let students chant with me .It attracts students interests and helps students review the words about weather .

Then I will show the pictures about fine\nice weather and ask how to express fine or nice with another word. We could use there is a big sun(sunny)to say fine or nice. Furthermore, we could use there are lots of clouds in the sky (cloudy)to express not fine. And today we will learn sunny and cloudy  ,these two words. So, todays content about words will naturally comes out .Then contrasting sun with sunny ,cloud with cloudy .we should naturally find that sun plus ny, cloud plus y.

Then, lets do the while-task procedures. There are 9 steps with several tasks

Step 1:Listening and find the main idea of this conversation. Students should feel the conversation and try to think about “what they are talking about?” The Students will easily know that Lisa will go shopping with her mom, and they are talking about weathers.

Step 2: Listening and imitate. I will present one picture of the conversation. I will play the video and let students say it loudly together sentence by sentence. I will mention them pay attention to the pronunciation. Students will Learn the words and some sentences like “How’s the weather today? It’s …sunny\cloudy.”

Step 3:Look and say one by one. According to the sentence pattern and the conversation, I give students two sentences with blanks like this, Its ___.Lets go ___. Students are invited to fill in the blanks one by one.

Step 4: Find the grammar points by yourself. According to the grammar points we have learnt . It will show some clues about this lesson on the screen. Then students work in groups and gather everyones ideas. This way of learning English will improve students teamwork learning ability.

Step 5:listen and read .I will play the video and let students have an overall sense of the text.  Then students read it together, read it in roles, read it in groups.

Step 6:Practice with your group members and act . I will give students three minutes to prepare with their partners and let some groups act in the front of the class .This activity can develop students group work ability.

Step 7:Look and retell. Retell the text .I will give students some key words and let them retell the text. After doing this, students can remember the text better .Whats more, their self-learning ability can be improved.

Step 8:Lets chant “We are happy to play”. This part will attract students attention and bring another climax of this lesson.

Step 9: Fill in the blanks. I will show some sentences and let students fill in the blanks and learn the sentences. After that ,students can have a better understanding of the key sentence pattern “How’s the weather today? It’s …sunny\cloudy.”

 The third stage is post-task activities. In this part four activities are involved

Activity1-Angry birds: I will give students some cards There are some words about this lesson and let them play. Read the word and explain it. This activity will greatly improve studentsintegration(整合) ability.

Activity 2-Find the words about weather. I will choose two students to compete . This activity will greatly improve students cooperation learning ability.

Activity 3- Match the words and phrases with the translation. Some students will be invited to do it.

Activity 4-Lets put it in order. I will give students one minute to do it and check the answer.

Extension :Play a short video about the ancestor how to forecast weather .Help students to know how to forecast weather. Then play a video about rational consumption.

The last stage is summary and homework.

Homework 1 is to let students read the text and try to remember the key words: sunny\cloudy.

Homework 2:Retell the text and say it to your friends and families

Homework 3: Make a mind map about the main knowledge of this lesson.

It will help students to consolidate what they have learnt .I will also encourage students to use language to communicate with their friends and families.

I will design my blackboard as follows: I will write the title at the middle top of blackboard. I will show the key words and difficult points with pictures.

Thats all for my teaching design.
