（一）定义

用表示地点的连词连接一个句子，充当另一个句子的地点状语，这个句子就叫做地点状语从句。

常用来连接时间状语从句的连词有：where, wherever, anywhere, everywhere。

（二）where

如：

Mark the pipe where you want to bend it.

Don't leave it where the kids can reach it.

He placed a marker where the ball had landed.

【注意】

where常用于一些谚语中，如：

Where there is smoke, there is fire. 无风不起浪。

Where there is a will, there is a way. 有志者事竟成。

（三）wherever

表示“无论在哪”。如：

Some people enjoy themselves wherever they are.

Remember you are a Chinese wherever you go.

Wherever you go, you should do your work well.

（四）anywhere

如：

An African can go anywhere he wants right now. 

Anywhere she goes, he goes too. 

The contamination is already spreading up the East Coast, so be watchful anywhere the Gulf waters may have contact with you.

（五）everywhere

如：

Everywhere we went, the French were grand to us. 

They made a lot of friends everywhere they went.
