在我们看中式古装或武侠片时，经常会听到诸如“午时”、“子夜”之类的时间称呼。而在英语里，如果要描述一天的某个时间段，大部分人都知道以下这些：
morning
afternoon
evening
night
然而，这些单词实际上只能涵盖全天2/3的时间，那剩下的1/3你知道怎么描述吗？
When we refer to different times we can use words that refer to an approximate time of the day/night not a specific time, except for a few words such as noon & midnight.
清晨
Early Morning – is from about 2 hours before the sun raises to about 6:00 AM.
黎明
Dawn – is around the time the sun rises.
上午
Morning –is from sunrise to 12:00 PM.
午后
Early Afternoon – is from about 12:00 PM – till about 1:00 PM.
正午
Noon – 12:00 PM
下午
Afternoon – is from 12:00 PM till about 5:00 PM.
傍晚（前）
Late Afternoon - is from about 4:00 PM till about 6:00 PM.
傍晚（后）
Early Evening – is from about 5:00 PM till about 7:00 PM.
黄昏
Dusk – around the time when the sun goes down.
晚上
Evening – is from 5:00 PM till about 11:00 PM.
夜里
Late Evening – is from about 9:00 PM till about 11:00 PM.
深夜
Night – is from 11:00 PM till sunrises.
午夜
Midnight – 12:00AM
凌晨
Middle of the night – is from about 1:00 AM - till about 2 hours before the sun rises.
Note: AM is before noon, and PM is after noon.
