《教学八年级英语上册UNIT 1,我把“听说法”发挥得淋漓尽致》

        八年级英语上册UNIT1,学习“Where did you go on vacation?”,分为Section A,Section B 和Self-check,三个部分。
        这个单元“Where did you go on vacation?”是衔接七年级英语下册UNIT11和UNIT12的“一般过去时”的知识来学习的。
        因为关于问询比较多,一问一答,既可以训练听力,也可以操练口语,非常适合用“听说法”进行教学。


        “听说法”于20世纪40年代在美国产生,第二次世界大战爆发后,美国军队为在短期内培养大批掌握外语口语能力的军人,采取一系列的措施和手段强化训练士兵的听说能力,听说法便应运而生。战后,该法被推广应用到学校外语教学中,并在二十世纪五六十年代风行美国和世界各国。
        “听说法”的第一和第二基本原则表现是:
⑴ 听说领先,注重口语。听说领先指听说是一切言语活动的基础,口语是第一位的,读写是在听说的基础上派生出来的;初级阶段先练口语,以培养口语能力为主,读写为辅。
⑵ 反复操练。用模仿,重复,记忆的方法去反复实践,形成自动化的习惯。


        按照这两个原则表现,Section A部分的口语操练和句型训练,我借助课件和多媒体,在拒绝母语的前提下,用“听说法”进行操练,有如行云流水。
         一个简单的问题:Where did you go on vacation?
        学生们很快就能够用特定句型或者自己的英语 流畅地表达出来。
1. stayed at home  
2.went to New York city
 3.visited my uncle
4. went to summer camp
 5.went to the mountains 
 6.visited museums


         在Section A的2d“Role-play the conversation”的教学中,我用“听说法”提出以下问题,加强了口语训练,并且能够帮助学生理解对话内容。
1. Where did Helen go on vacation?
2. Did Huangguoshu Waterfall?
3. Did Helen take quite a few photos?
4. Did Rick do anything special last month?
5. What did Rick do last month?


          在Section B的2b的旅行日记中,我同样借助“听说法”提出问题,帮助学生们透彻理解阅读内容,易学易懂,学生们学习兴趣空前高涨。
1. When did we arrived in Penang in Malaysia?
2. How was the weather?
3. Where did we decide to go?
4. What did my sister and I try doing?
5. What did we have for lunch?
6. Where did we go in the afternoon?
7. What did we see in Weld Quay?
8. Did I enjoy walking around the town?
9. Where did my father and I decide to go on July 16th?
10. Why did we decide to take the train?
11. How long did we wait for the train? Why?
12. How was the weather when we got to the top?
13. Why were we wet and cold?
14. Why couldn’t we see anything below?
15. Why did we only have one bowl of rice and some fish?
16. Why did the food taste great?
         两篇难懂难学的旅行日记,就这样用“听说法”轻而易举地解决了。
       接下来,趁热打铁,我让学生们借助这些问题提纲,用自己的英语来说一说“我”的旅行日记。很难想象的是,学生们好像身临其境,好像已经忘记了自己的母语,出乎意料地滔滔不绝。


        这样正好印证了“听说法”的第四个原则表现:⑷排斥或限制使用母语和翻译,尽量用直观手段或借助于情景,语境,直接用目的语理解和表达。
        在这个单元的最后,结合这个单元的Self—check部份,我还整理了一些课内外的重点句型,让学生反复操练,反复实践,形成自己的自动化的语言习惯。学生们通过自动化记忆和操练之后,考试也信心满满。
        这也就印证了“听说法”的第三个原则表现:⑶ 以句型为中心。句型是语言教学的基础,也是外语教学的中心,通过句型操练能自动化地运用每一个句型,掌握目的语。


八上英语UNIT 1重点句型
Where did you go on vacation?你去哪里度假?
I went to summer camp.我去了夏令营。
I just stayed at home most of the time to read and relax.
大部分时间我只是待在家里看书和休息。
 There is something wrong with my bike.It doesn’t work.
我的自行车坏了,不能骑了。
Did you go anywhere interesting?你去了哪些有趣的地方?
Did you do anything special last month?上个月你做了哪些特殊的事情?
I bought something for my father,but nothing for myself.我为我的父亲买了一些东西。但我自己没有买什么。
Would you like something to drink?你想要喝点什么?
 Everything tasted really good.一切东西吃起来都很好吃。
Did you go with anyone?你跟某些人去了吗?
Everyone was on vacation.大家都在度假。
 They were unfriendly.他们不友好。
We took quite a few photos there.我们在那里拍了相当多的照片。
There were few people in the park.公园里几乎没有人。
 It was sunny and hot ,so we decided to go to the beach near our hotel.因为天气很热,所以我们决定去距离我们旅馆很近的海边。
 My sister and I tried paragliding.我和我的妹妹尝试滑翔伞运动。
I tried to finish the work by myself.我努力独自完成这项工作。
Let’s try opening the door.让我们试试打开这道门。
I felt like I was a bird.我感觉像一只小鸟。
I feel like flying in the sky.我想要在天上飞。
I wonder what life was like here in the past.我想知道过去这里的生活什么样。
What a difference a day makes!每一天都是如此的不同.
We waited over an hour for the train because there were too many people.因为太多人了,所以我们等了一个多小时。
I have too much homework to do today,so I can’t go out with you.
我今天又很多作业要做,所以不能跟你一起去了。
Because of the bad weather,we couldn’t see anything below.
因为糟糕的天气,我们看不见下面的东西。
The old man really enjoys walking around the school after dinner.
这个老人很喜欢晚饭后在学校周围散步。
I don’t have enough money,so I didn’t buy it at that time.
我没有足够的钱,所以那个时候我没有买。
The new restaurant is big enough for 500 people.
这个新餐厅足够大,可以容纳500人。

        当然,随着时代的变化,英语教学方法更新换代也很快。“听说法”是一种旧的教学方法,但它的实际运用和教学操作,永远不会过时,它是一种语言学习的基石,特别在口语方面的教学中,我这样认为。
