One of my internet friends sent me a clip of a video in which a hotel is being surrounded by a big group of people in anger coming from all over the country. The reason why they are so furious and take action to put the hotel under siege is that the hostess said something which offended so many netizens when the video was published on the Internet.
“My family possess several hotels bearing the title of Huizhou Yan. Money is never a problem for us. Ten million is a tiny sum for us. If you dare do anything about my dog, I can get your child killed.” said the hostess after she saw her dog was being driven away when it rushed to and almost hurt a little child whose guardian tried to defend the child against the doy without a leash. Seeing the child in danger, the guardian warned the hostess to keep her dog away from the child and should have used a leash to walk it. She as well as millions of netizens could never expect the response from the hostess was: Your child is not worth my dog. There is nothing more than that I compensate for your child’s life with a sum of money.
Her words set the Internet on fire with fury. It has been blazing. Hundreds of netizens came to the hotel and blocked the gate to an explanation why a dog is more valuable than a child. Some customers of this hotel called off the banquets they have reserved and some of the netizens sent such text to their relatives and friends: if you plan to give a banquet in Huizhou Hotel, I need to tell you directly that I will not attend it and also will not present a gift of money. Some Huizhouers said that they would not come to the hotel for any banquet or things like that because they fear being bitten by the dog set free. They even said that if the hotels do not go bankrupt, they will feel ashamed to be a Huizhouer. Anyway, the netizens are angry and they plan to do something for the hostess to pay the price for what she said, as what she said is strongly against the principle of being a human.

I know some would say that the fury of the citizens comes from their hatred of the rich. I can’t go there with them. The hostess has been rich for a long time and she is, from what she said, is not a little rich. The netizens have never done anything about his wealth. If they did it for the hatred of the rich, they would have taken many actions.
