缘起：前天晚上不知什么原因，感觉眼睛里面进了一个东西，十分不舒服。家人又是建议用力揉搓眼睛，又是帮我用棉签轻拨，无论如何，就是不能把东西弄出来。无奈中，家人建议说，可能睡一觉就好了。结果却是我一夜未眠，难受的很。第二天上午又是早读加四节课，只能在课后间隙去学校医务室让校医简单看看未果。无奈中，只好在第二节下课后，利用大课间时间到附近的第七人民医院挂了一个专家号。不曾想，没有两分钟时间，也没有使用什么专用器械，只是简单的使用一根医用棉签，医生就帮我取出了异物。立时，眼睛就感觉舒适多了。
这就让我想起了“相信专业的力量，让专业的人做专业的事”这句话。我们以英语学习为例，很多人以为英语就是简单的背单词，单词背好了，英语成绩自然就高！殊不知，制约英语学习好坏、成绩高低的因素很多，除了单词的背诵之外，还有句子结构的理解、长难句的剖析、篇章话题的熟悉、百科知识的多少，甚至还包括学生思维能力的高低。
仅以单词背诵为例，背诵单词绝不能仅靠每天早读搂着每册教材后面的生词表、或者是词汇书的生词表死记硬背。新课标提倡在语境中感知、猜测、理解单词；在反复阅读中强化、复习、巩固单词；在使用中掌握、内化、活用单词。因此，在单词的学习或者教学过程中，不能仅仅关注词义的理解与记忆，更要引导学生在不同的语境中去理解、识记和运用单词。
下面以人教版选必一Unit 4 Body Language 部分词汇为例，简单说明一下自己在引领学生词汇学习与掌握中的做法。
【理解与概括】
引导学生朗读句子、熟悉结构、翻译句意、提取词组搭配。
