很多朋友买到羊绒线后，感觉没有手感不是那么柔软，直呼上当。 其实不然，单独从原始纱线的手感来判断纱线的质量是错误的。羊绒线在制成成衣后，只有经过适当的洗缩这一工序（即缩绒）才会出现丰满的绒面，使其手感柔软、爽滑。羊毛衫缩绒工艺的合理与否，直接影响着缩绒质量的好坏，缩绒工艺合理，羊毛衫表面产生绒茸，给人以美观、柔和的感觉。否则会出现两种情况，一是缩绒不充分，达不到缩绒的目的；二是缩绒过度，羊毛衫由毡缩直至毡结，毡结是不可逆的，一旦毡结，织物显著收缩，弹性消失，手感发硬。羊毛衫变成羊毛毡，使其性能下降。
羊绒衫缩绒的目的
羊绒衫缩绒的目的主要是为了改善和提高羊绒衫产品的内在质量和外观效果。
1、 缩绒能使织物质地紧密，长度缩短，平方米重量及厚度增加，强力提高，弹性和保暖性增强。
2、 经过缩绒的羊绒衫其表面显露出一层绒毛，使外观优美，手感丰厚软，色泽柔和。另外缩绒产生的绒毛对羊绒衫原有的某些疵点起到淡化和掩盖作用，使其不致明显地暴露在织物表面。
羊绒衫缩绒的具体方法及步骤：
1.成衣后，先把缩绒剂放到温水里，水温要求是35-40度，一定要到达这样的温度，把缩绒剂调开，这样绒面漂亮。把衣服泡到里面，水面没过织物，泡15-30分钟左右（切忌不要直接把缩绒剂倒在衣服上），放洗衣机换到合适档轻揉15-35分钟（视个人对绒面要求而定，时间越长绒毛越长）水温保持40度左右，然后用清水洗干净，一定要漂洗干净。
2. 再把柔软剂放到温水里，水温要求是25度左右，充分浸泡30分钟（泡了15分钟再翻过来泡15分钟），这样绒面软软的，超级棒，最后晾干，或用蒸汽熨斗烫平。（晾的时候一般不能挂在衣架上，容易拉长毛衣 ）
如果没有缩绒剂和柔软剂的朋友，那就用专用洗毛衣的洗剂也行，如用金纺或者羊毛衫专用洗涤剂洗柔软效果是一样的，但是一定得水温是这个度数，然后用洗发水搓缩绒，记得要多搓搓，使劲搓哦，这样绒才会又多又长
我个人认为:缩绒剂这个东西太专业，是为了商业化销售才用的.例如,商场买一件羊毛衫来,买来的时候很柔软，很舒服,可是穿了几次,洗几次后，就变硬了，这是为什么呢?那就是缩绒的关系,为了获得舒服的手感， 商家会进行缩绒处理,这样， 即使所用的线是比较差的羊毛。 经过多次缩绒后， 也可以让手感媲美优质羊毛.但是这样的处理方式， 等于是一次性把羊毛处理到了极致，之后再怎样打理也无法超越这样的手感，而甚至会让人感觉更糟糕.
个人建议买比较好的原料的线, 尽量有耐心，通过慢慢的洗涤, 让绒慢慢的跑出来,这样的处理方式可以让衣服越来越软.而在洗涤中， 如果希望手感略微好些, 只要加些普通的家用柔顺剂就好了,用量也不要过大，这样越洗就会越好的。
整烫工艺及后整理的注意事项
整烫羊绒衫要用中温（约140度C蒸汽整烫熨平），熨斗与羊绒衫要离开0.5--1公分的距离，切忌压在上面熨烫，影响羊绒衫蓬松效果。
不能生拉硬拽，要制作合适的烫板。
要控制羊绒衫成品的水分含量。
注意外型效果和平直度。
