Long time ago, there was a young man from the State of Chu. He had a nice sword and he loved it very much.
One day, he was sitting on a boat and wanted to cross the river. On the half way, he showed his favourite sword to others, but the sword was dropped into the water by chance. Everyone was so worried and regretful, however the young man was not. Then he took out a knife without hurry or bustle and made a mark on side of the boat where his sword fell.
When the boat landed, the young man jumped into the river to find his sword. After a while, the young man came out of the water in despair because he didn’t find his sword. Everyone saw that and laughed. The boatman said: “My youth, you can’t find your sword like this. The boat have moved but the sword have not. Isn’t it a very foolish way to look for your sword?” The young man was very ashamed.
