《I Dreamed a Dream》（我曾有梦）是根据法国作家雨果的小说《悲惨世界》(Les Misérables)改编同名歌剧的主题曲。其中，这首歌的曲子由法国作曲家Claude-Michel Schönberg创作，英文歌词由出生于南非的记者兼词作者Herbert Kretzmer完成。
在歌剧中，这首歌由女主角芳汀演唱，讲述了其悲剧的前半生。年轻美貌的芳汀爱上了贵族青年，并幻想着自己将拥有美好的爱情与未来。谁知所托非人，被贵族青年残酷抛弃。在她有私生女的事情被告发后，不幸被赶出工厂，流落街头，成为妓女。就在这个时候，芳汀唱起了歌曲《I Dreamed a Dream》。
