其中，时隔一年再度定档大年初一的贺岁电影《唐人街探案3》(Detective Chinatown 3) 更是大受关注，据片方消息，截至2月10日，电影预售总票房破5亿，创国产电影预售票房新高，电影上映前全平台想看人数已经突破1000万！
毕竟，该系列前两部电影有不少或悬疑或爆笑的名场面都令人印象深刻……

始于2015年的“唐人街探案”系列是中国最为成功的系列电影之一，故事一开始发生在泰国曼谷的唐人街。这部将动作喜剧与悬疑惊悚元素结合起来的电影取得了约8.57亿人民币的不俗票房成绩，并令王宝强、刘昊然两位主演一夜之间成为最受欢迎的明星。《唐人街探案2》将故事背景转移到了纽约唐人街，并提高了影片的制作水准 —— 该片在2018年的春节档期间狂揽约37.31亿人民币。
One of China's most successful franchises, 'Detective Chinatown' began in 2015 set in the Chinatown of Bangkok, Thailand. It struck gold with a quirky mix of the action comedy and mystery thriller genres, earning 857 million yuan and making its two leads, Wang Baoqiang and Liu Haoran, into overnight stars. Detective Chinatown 2 moved the action to New York City's Chinatown and enhanced its production values — it earned a whopping 3.73 billion yuan during the 2018 Chinese New Year period.
自编自导了前两部电影的陈思诚回归制作了第三部作品。这一次，王宝强和刘昊然所饰演的中国侦探唐仁和秦风在日本东京展开了一系列状况不断的大冒险，他们与日本侦探野田昊（妻夫木聪饰）一起调查一桩轰动案件：一位商人的谋杀案。
Both films were written and directed by Chen Sicheng, who has returned for the third installment. This time, Wang and Liu, playing Chinese detectives Tang Ren and Qin Feng, respectively, move their buddy misadventures to Tokyo, Japan, where they join Japanese investigator Noda Hiroshi (Satoshi Tsumabuki) on a high-profile case involving the murder of a powerful businessman.
该案的主要嫌疑人是一名危险的黑龙帮老大。但探案的并非只有唐仁、秦风两人，“CRIMASTER世界侦探排行榜”上的侦探也都齐聚东京抓捕凶手。位列榜单第一的超级侦探Q的现身加大了难度，也令唐仁和秦风眼前的案件更加扑朔迷离。两人一头扎进了终极挑战之中，并与亚洲最强侦探们联手破案，一较高下。
The prime suspect is the president of the lethal Black Dragon Gang. But they’re not the only ones taking on the challenge, as detectives from 'CRIMASTER World Detective Rankings' also converge in Tokyo to help catch the killer. The appearance of the number one-ranked super-sleuth 'Q” on the scene raises the stakes and makes the case even more suspicious for Tang Ren and Qin Feng, who are plunged headlong into the ultimate challenge as the strongest detectives in Asia join forces and fight it out to crack the case.

Also，director Chen Sicheng didn't hide his ambition to put the franchise on a bigger map by casting so many big movie stars, especially the Japanese actors this time.
比如，日本女演员铃木保奈美在国内知名度相当高，许多中国人都喜欢她在电视剧《东京爱情故事》中所饰演的莉香一角，该剧由日本富士电视台出品，改编自柴门文的同名漫画。陈思诚也曾自编自导自演了一部名字类似的《北京爱情故事》，并承认自己是铃木保奈美的粉丝。陈思诚表示，铃木保奈美参演《唐人街探案3》令他梦想成真，她在影片中的登场也无疑会触发观众们的一阵怀旧潮。
For example, Japanese actress Honami Suzuki is a big name in China as many Chinese people loved her role as Rika in the Fuji TV television adaptation of Fumi Saimon's manga 'Tokyo Love Story' (1991). Chen, who wrote, directed and acted in a hit TV series with a similar title, 'Beijing Love Story' (2012), admitted he was a big fan of Suzuki. Chen said that by including her in the cast, his dream had come true and her presence in the movie would surely trigger a wave of nostalgia among viewers.
导演陈思诚还表示，自己将来不会再执导“唐探”系列电影，但仍会担任电影的制片人。他还表示，自己已经打算好了这个系列的未来规划，会将其打造成一个宇宙体系，除了主角侦探二人组之外，还会讲述其他侦探的故事。
The director said that he does not plan to direct any more 'Detective Chinatown' films in the future but will remain its producer. Chen also added that he has good future plans for the franchise, and will develop it into a universe where other detectives, rather than the main detective duo, could also have their stories told.
陈思诚开拓“唐探宇宙”的第一步便是制作了一部新网剧。自2020年1月1日上线以来，《唐人街探案》网剧便获得了不错的反响。这部网剧与系列电影进行了联动，使角色更加丰满。
His first move to expand the 'Detective Chinatown' universe was to make a new internet-broadcast TV series, which has since received positive feedback from audiences after its debut on Jan. 1, 2020. The TV series would help boost the film franchise and enrich its characters.
