电影《绿皮书》中，司机Tony要出远门，妻子Dolores说，希望Tony一有时间就给她写信，但Tony却以不会写信搪塞，在Dolores一再坚持，说写信比打长途电话便宜多了，Tony才勉强答应。
在旅途中，Tony为了给Dolores写信，抓耳挠腮，错字连篇。实在看不下去的Don帮助Tony润色，信才充满文采和浪漫。到第三封信的时候，Tony已经可以自己独立完成。结果，每一封信都让妻子感动不已。
