《彼得与狼》是前苏联作曲家普罗柯菲耶夫为儿童写的一部交响童话，完成于1936年春。该作品是普罗柯菲耶夫的代表作品之一。该曲虽以儿童为对象，但同时也使成人们产生很大兴趣。

• 彼得，剧内男一号，乐器是弦乐组（Strings）。交响乐团里的弦乐组，由第一小提琴（1st violins）、第二小提琴（2nd Violins）、中提琴（Violas）、大提琴（Cellos）和低音提琴（低音贝斯）（Basses）共同组成。其实，除了各种提琴，优雅浪漫的竖琴也是弦乐组的一员。只不过这里没用到这个乐器。

• 狼，乐器是法国圆号（French Horn），是一种铜管乐器（Brass）。实际上，法国圆号这个名字纯粹是因为最初法国在圆号制造工艺的领先而得名；后来，由于德国的制造技术后来居上，目前大家都管这个乐器叫“圆号”了。圆号的声音是比较亮的，金属感十足，很有冲击力，可以模仿出狼的凶狠。

• 小鸟，乐器是长笛（Flute），木管乐器（Woodwind）。这里注意，木管乐器，不一定都是用木制的，一般管弦乐队内使用的长笛，是金属制成。长笛在用短音快速演奏时，特别像小鸟的叫声。雅尼曾在紫禁城音乐会中演奏过名曲《夜莺》（Nightingale），就是由各种笛子模仿的夜莺鸣叫，十分动听。

• 小鸭，是双簧管（Oboe），木管乐器。这个乐器的声音相信大家很熟，柴可夫斯基的芭蕾舞剧《天鹅湖》主题旋律，就是用双簧管演奏了天鹅忧郁的声音。双簧管的管体是木质的，上面的按键一般是金属制。双簧管在管弦乐队中还有个作用，就是调音基准。也就是说，其他乐器的音准，得以双簧管为基准去调。一是因为它的声音穿透力极强，很容易被整个乐团听见；第二个是它的长音音律极其稳定，能确保调音的准确性。

• 小猫，是单簧管（Clarinet），木管乐器，被誉为管弦乐队中的“演说家”。它的声音确实非常特别，高音嘹亮、中音清澈、低音浑厚；真是一个可甜可盐的乐器。它通常使用非洲黑木制造，与双簧管相比，在吹口处放置一个簧片发声。有时，我们也会听到有人叫它“黑管”。

• 爷爷，是巴松管（Bassoon），木管乐器，又叫大管。它的声音低沉，在乐队里主要负责低音区。

• 猎人，是定音鼓（Timpani），打击乐器（Percussion）。定音鼓是有音高的（do, re, mi这种），所以如果你见过管弦乐团里的定音鼓，有好几个，每个代表一个音高。这跟我们通常理解的打击乐器不同。定音鼓模仿的是猎人开枪的声音。
