Zbar is a library for decoding and detection of bar codes and QR codes.

It allows to decode multiple barcode formats:

• EAN-13
• UPC-A
• UPC-E
• EAN-8
• Code 128
• Code 39
• Interleaved 2 of 5
• QR code.

  Installation in Debian-based systems

In order to install it in Ubuntu or other Debian-based systems, type this command in a console window:

sudo apt-get install zbar-tools

  Installation in Red-Hat-based systems

To install it in Red-Hat-based systems, type this command in a console window:

sudo yum install zbar-tools

  Installation in Windows

For install in Windows download the installation file from here:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/zbar/files/zbar/0.10/zbar-0.10-setup.exe/download

In order to install, execute the downloaded file.
