A bullet that reached its destiny years later.
Henry Ziegland thought he had dodged fate.
In 1883, he broke off a relationship with his girlfriend who, out of distress, committed suicide. The girl's brother was so enraged that he hunted down Ziegland and shot him.
The brother, believing he had killed Ziegland, then turned his gun on himself and took his own life. But Ziegland had not been killed. The bullet, in fact, had only grazed his face and then lodged in a tree. Ziegland surely thought he was a lucky man.
Twenty years later, however, Ziegland decided to cut down the large tree, which still had the bullet in it. The task seemed so formidable that he decided to blow it up with a few sticks of dynamite.
The explosion propelled the bullet into Ziegland's head, killing him.

When I was young, I had a cat named Taffy, named because she was a light toffy color. She was a unique looking cat because we let her outside for a pee one day in the winter when it was extremely cold (-30C). A few minutes later when we let her in we noticed that one of her ears was frost bitten. The ear later turned black and 2/3 of it fell off but the rest of her was fine. Now we had a pretty unique looking cat because of her color and her one ear. Our family had her for 6 years then one weekend when we went camping and came home, we found that she was missing. The best we can explain it is that she may have been in the boat or camper when we went camping and hopped out part way or at the campground.

Fast forward 6 years, I'm 18 dating a girl from another town about 75km away. One day we got talking about pets when we were young and she mentions that her family had a cat named tigger that was a light toffee color. I say: me too. Then she tells me that her cat was unique because it only had a third of an ear. I say me too. I say, it was sad because we lost our cat when I was about 12. She says... interesting, we found our cat when I was 11. Her family found the cat when they were camping in between my city and her town. Turns out, my current wife and I shared the raising of an awesome cat together, 6 years before we married. Our childhood pictures share the same pet even though we didn't meet for another 6 years.

Edit: I know many of you are looking for pictures. I'm now 37 and living 450km from my parents home. The pictures would have been taken between when I was 6 and 12 so between 25 and 30 years ago. I'll work on them but don't hold your breath.
