英国《教师标准》对教师教学的要求有8条

2012年5月英国教育部颁布了《教师标准》,并于今年秋季学期9月份正式生效适用,以下是对教师教学提出的8点要求所作的前言。
   教师要把学生的教育放在首位加以关注,在教学工作中竭尽所能做到教学标准中的要求。教师的行为要做到诚实和一贯(言行一致),拥有过硬的学科知识,在知识与能力方面要能做到与时俱进和自律,营造积极的专业人际关系。围绕学生的最佳兴趣与家长们共同努力教学。

PART ONE: TEACHING第一部分:教学的要求
一位教师应该:
A teacher must:

一、通过鼓励学生、激发他们的学习动机,在他们接受学习挑战的过程中对他们给予较高期望
  1 Set high expectations which inspire, motivate and challengepupils
     establish a safe and stimulating environment for pupils, rootedin mutual respect
     set goals that stretch and challenge pupils ofall backgrounds, abilities and dispositions
     demonstrate consistently the positive attitudes, values andbehaviour which are expected of pupils.
   二、教师要让学生通过自己的努力取得进步作为教学的结果
  2 Promote good progress and outcomes by pupils

  beaccountable for pupils’ attainment, progress and outcomes
     be aware of pupils’ capabilities and their prior knowledge, andplan teaching to build on these
     guide pupils to reflect on the progress theyhave made and their emerging needs
     demonstrate knowledge and understanding of how pupils learn andhow this impacts on teaching
     encourage pupils to take a responsible andconscientious attitude to their own work and study.
   三、教学中能驾驭好学科和课程知识

3 Demonstrate goodsubject and curriculumknowledge
     have a secure knowledge of the relevant subject(s) and curriculumareas, foster and maintain pupils’ interest in the subject, andaddress misunderstandings
     demonstrate a critical understanding of developments in thesubject and curriculum areas, and promote the value ofscholarship
     demonstrate an understanding of and take responsibility forpromoting high standards of literacy, articulacy and the correctuse of standard English, whatever the teacher’s specialistsubject
     if teaching early reading, demonstrate a clear understanding ofsystematic synthetic phonics
     if teaching early mathematics, demonstrate aclear understanding of appropriate teaching strategies.
   四、备课和教学过程都要体现良好的教学结构

4 Plan and teachwell structuredlessons
     impart knowledge and develop understanding through effective useof lesson time
     promote a love of learning and children’s intellectualcuriosity
     set homework and plan other out-of-classactivities to consolidate and extend the knowledge andunderstanding pupils have acquired
     reflect systematically on the effectiveness of lessons andapproaches to teaching
     contribute to the design and provision of an engaging curriculumwithin the relevant subject area(s).
   五、教学要对全体学生的学习需求和学习特长做出回应

5 Adapt teachingto respond to the strengths and needs of allpupils
     know when and how to differentiateappropriately, using approaches which enable pupils to be taughteffectively
     have a secure understanding of how a range of factors can inhibitpupils’ ability to learn, and how best to overcome these
     demonstrate an awareness of the physical, social and intellectualdevelopment of children, and know how to adapt teaching to supportpupils’ education at different stages of development
     have a clear understanding of the needs of all pupils, includingthose with special educational needs; those of high ability; thosewith English as an additional language; those with disabilities;and be able to use and evaluate distinctive teaching approaches toengage and support them.
   六、教学评价要做到准确和富有创造性

6 Make accurateand productive use ofassessment
     know and understand how to assess the relevant subject andcurriculum areas, including statutory assessment requirements
     make use of formative and summative assessment to secure pupils’progress
     use relevant data to monitor progress, set targets, and plansubsequent lessons
     give pupils regular feedback, both orally and through accuratemarking, and encourage pupils to respond to the feedback.
   七、为确保给学生提供良好的安全学习环境,教师需要有效管控教学行为

7 Manage behavioureffectively to ensure a good and safe learningenvironment
     have clear rules and routines for behaviour in classrooms, andtake responsibility for promoting good and courteous behaviour bothin classrooms and around the school, in accordance with theschool’s behaviour policy
     have high expectations of behaviour, and establish a frameworkfor discipline with a range of strategies, using praise, sanctionsand rewards consistently and fairly
     manage classes effectively, using approaches which areappropriate to pupils’ needs in order to involve and motivatethem
     maintain good relationships with pupils, exercise appropriateauthority, and act decisively when necessary.
   八、教师需要履行更为专业的职责

8 Fulfil widerprofessionalresponsibilities
     make a positive contribution to the wider life and ethos of theschool
     develop effective professional relationships with colleagues,knowing how and when to draw on advice and specialist support
     deploy support staff effectively
     take responsibility for improving teaching through appropriateprofessional development, responding to advice and feedback fromcolleagues
     communicate effectively with parents with regard to pupils’achievements and well-being.
