If you are one of those people who advocate or sanction that Chinese students should learn less English or better not at all, ask yourself this question: how many Chinese scientists and engineers whose relentless efforts helped send Chinese astronauts into the space station safely never learnt English or for that matter any other western languages？
一直有人提出”英语无用论“，反对学英语。如果你也是其中一员，请问自己一个问题：有多少对航天事业做出伟大贡献且帮助宇航员成功到达太空的中国科学家和工程师从没学过英语或其他西方语言？
I bet they would not have been selected to be members of that elite group if they had not acquired the ability to read articles which were published in scientific journals. Given the fact that we Chinese are not the first country exploring the space, therefore there must be some knowledge or technologies out there that we can learn instead of reinventing the wheel.
