1. below the belt

不正当;不正大光明

That move was below the belt.

这种做法太不择手段了。

2. tighten one's belt

勒紧腰带

I don't have deep pockets, son, you have to pull up your sockets and tighten your belt in order to take off your career.

我不是很有钱，儿子，你必须奋发图强，勒紧腰带才能使你的事业腾飞。

3. fly by the seat of one’s pants

凭直觉做事情;摸索

When Jones started up business in the town, he didn’t know anybody, so he had to fly by the seat of his pants.

当琼斯在这个镇子开始做生意时，他一个人都不认识，所以只好全靠自己摸索。

4. ants in one's pants

紧张不安;坐立不安;魂不守舍
