何为“性感美食家”？

对于某些男性来说，用餐已不再是单纯地为了果腹，他们味觉发达，能够充分地享受烹调和饮食的乐趣。他们就是“性感美食家”。

 

A new generation of men who see cooking more as a hobby than a household chore, and use their cooking skills to impress friends and potential partners. They are "gastrosexuals".

某些新一代的男性，他们热衷于烹饪胜过做家庭琐事，他们用高超的烹饪技巧震惊了朋友及潜在的客户。他们就是“性感美食家”。

 

Gastrosexuality is a neologism derived from gastronomy and sexuality. It can be used as a noun, and also can be used as an adjective.

“性感美食家”是一个由gastronomy（腹区、胃）和sexuality（性的）延伸出的新词。它既可作为名词，又可作为形容词。

 

The rise of the word is related to the rise of iconic celebrity chefs like Jamie Oliver and Gordon Ramsay whose British TV series are hugely popular and inspirational for a growing number of men to see cooking as a great hobby, making Oliver and Ramsay great role models for gastrosexuals.

这个词的兴起与英国的国际名厨奥利弗和高登·兰西在英国电视厨艺节目的广泛流行有关，在这类节目的启发和影响下，越来越多的男性把烹饪当作其最大的兴趣爱好，而奥利弗和兰西也成为了“性感美食家”的代表。
