Today being my birthday, I felt like writing an article. I was getting a lot of requests to write an article about Ed Hardy and Christian Audigier. For those who having been living under a rock for the last couple of years, Ed Hardy is designed by Christian Audigier.
NHL jerseysAnd not until recently, I found out he also designed True Religion brand… go figure. During 2005-2006, Ed Hardy was getting a lot of media exposure from celebrities. It was one of the brands that everyone was going ga-ga for and most would remember the beginning of the rock-star movement. I will not front. I was even doing the whole rock-star thing. But never with the brands of Ed Hardy and Christian Audigier.
Dipset was pretty much the reason that this whole rock-star culture reached out to the rest of world outside of Harlem.
ed hardyThey were rocking Ed Hardy pretty heavy and even got Lil Wayne rocking it. Did you forget that they got Lil Wayne dressing in fitted clothes in general? Haha.
The Ed Hardy boom was getting out to everyone and I noticed, in certain areas, that people were really into this shit. I thought it was a little weird mostly. Why? Because its based on a tattoo artist by the name of Don Ed Hardy. Christian Audigier was pretty much making shirts based of his tattoos. I admit, I do like Don Ed Hardy’s tattoos on people but not on clothes. Don’t get it twisted. I found the tattoo concept interesting. But it only appeals to me
christian audigier it as a coloring book on a shirt. It’s really colorful and really tacky like whoa!!! I really don’t know how the brand is doing now-a-days but I remember when a lot of people were wearing Ed Hardy. For the most part, people switched to Christian Audigier which mostly consist of celebrities because it was the “high-end” version of Ed Hardy. Christian Audigier is pretty much similiar to Ed Hardy with their designs. The similarities are almost identical. If you asked me, I really can’t tell the difference. Ed Hardy t-shirts run for $110 or under. Christian Audigier goes for roughly $180. I know there are more expensive ones.
Quality talk. Sorry, I have no opinions on the comfort of these t-shirts because I wouldn’t be caught wearing these brands even if people told me it was the hip thing to do. I’d rather get a tattoo sleeve just so I can go up to someone with a long sleeve Ed Hardy/Christian Audigier shirt and say “nice tattoo you got on your arms are they real? mines are.”
runescape money I’ve heard the Ed Hardy belts are not bad on quality. But who am I to judge? I’m the type to buy a Gucci belt because i like the G as the buckle. Haha. I’ve always wondered why people would wear True Religion jeans with Ed Hardy/Christian Audigier. Finally, it makes sense to me… after finding out who made it. You can say its the perfect combo into transforming yourself into a rock-star or a complete douchebag. Both these brands were pretty big in 2005-2007 but now-a-days the rock-star thing is pretty dead. Well, I wouldn’t say dead but I know a couple of you people would turn on “Party Like A Rockstar” and start saying “totally DUDE!!!!” just to say that it ain’t dead.
