Master0sifu Folktale: Luck

There wasa person who made his living with his excellent acrobatic skills inthe state of Song. He once purposely went to the palace to performhis specialty for King Yuan of the state of Song. The King wasamazed by his performance and rewarded him with a lot ofthings.

宋国有一个靠高超的杂技技艺为生的人，特地进宫去给宋元君表演自己的专长，宋元君看后，十分惊讶，赏赐给他许多东西。

 

Anotheractor heard of this and offered to perform for the King too.Knowing this, the king became furious and said, “Last time I was ina good mood, so I gave out a lot of largess. You must have come forthe rewards. I loathe this type of person like you verymuch.”

另一个艺人听说这件事后，也要求给宋元君专场演出。宋元君听说后，大发雷霆，说：“上次正赶上我心情愉快，所以赏赐得多了一些。你肯定也是冲着赏赐来的。我对你这种人最为厌恶。”

 

Aftersaying this, the king ordered his arrest. By the time thisunfortunate actor was released, a whole month hadpassed.

说完后，宋元君下令把他关起来。一个月后，这个倒霉的艺人才被放出来。
