Vietnamese claiming to be East Asians

Does it annoy you that the Vietnamese claim themselves to East Asians?
Inferiority complex? Insecurities and low self-esteem?
I’ve been following Vietnamese media and this is very evident.
Their celebrities are picked based on how East Asian they look
The Vietnamese are making a joke out of themselves. I bet the East Asians are laughing at them.
Just look at their beauty pageant:
Since Vietnamese are so insecured and ignore their own Southeast Asian roots, we can only feel sorry for them.
Vietnamese are sore losers thinking that this woman (even after heavy photoshop)
Is anything remotely beautiful as this woman
Furthermore I’ve been reading arguments online where even the Chinese became annoyed at Vietnamese effort to be related to them.
These are things that make Vietnamese Southeast Asians whether they like it or not:
1. Fish sauce and tropical ingredients in Vietnamese food
2. Climate
3. People. Vietnamese are Southeast Asians with dark brown skin and large eyes
No matter how much the Vietnamese deny it, they are Southeast Asians. But Southeast Asians should not embrace them either since obviously they consider being part of Southeast Asia as humiliating.

不管越南人怎么否认，他们都是东南亚人。但是东南亚人也不应该接受他们，因为越南人显然认为作为东南亚的一部分是可耻的。

Vietnam is not a homogeneous country, some Vietnamese are East Asian, others are Southeastern, simple that.

So it happens that my last post about Vietnamese claiming to be East Asians received a lot of attention and attack, mainly from insecure Vietnamese who still want to prove that they are East Asians
Unfortunately some people just don’t want to face the truth.
Let’s make this clear: I am not attacking Vietnam or Vietnamese. In fact I believe in all race are equal, respect all race.
But Vietnamese need to realise this is a real problem that they have! It is not insulting to point out that you guys suffer from wannabe East Asian complex and colonial/slave mentality from +1000 years of Chinese colonization
Why are Vietnamese so proud of the culture that the Chinese invaders force on them? Is this similar to how black slaves take their white masters’ name and adopt their culture?
Why the traditional clothes of Vietnam look so uncomfortable for a tropical climate?
因此，我上一篇关于越南人自称是东亚人的文章受到了很多关注和攻击，主要来自那些仍然想证明自己是东亚人的缺乏安全感的越南人。
不幸的是，有些人只是不想面对现实。
让我们明确指出：我不是在攻击越南或越南人。事实上，我相信所有的种族都是平等的，尊重所有的种族。
