2015年我们被迫显著的减少我们的人员及开支。这项工作开展起来非常不容易。我们中的大部分人在某方面或多方面深受这个艰难过程的影响。但是我相信你会同我一起，祝福那些在2015年离开斯伦贝谢的同事们！
一个比较积极的事情是，我们安排了2000多个非核心职位的 LOA（停薪留职）。这项措施不仅可以帮助相关同事，也为后期业务的复苏提供了人员储备。
虽然我们目前面临挑战，但我依然对我们的长期战略及既定目标充满信心。
斯伦贝谢有很多与众不同的优势，包含我们的技术、我们的人员，我们的组织及规模。这些优势将继续使我们在行业里与众不同，但也让我们在未来的成长中处于一个独特的位置。
2016年毫无疑问是又一个艰难的年份，我们仍然有许多事情需要优化。
我们的内部改革项目进入了新的阶段，我们将在未来发展过程中加速部署，增大组织调整力度。
通过实施我们的改革，我们将平衡现在的业务压力，并在行业好转的时候释放我们的潜力，并力争比现在做得更好。
我们也在极力促成一些激动人心的市场机会，包括已经提出的卡麦龙合并。这些将使得我们在地表和地下方面成为行业领先的综合钻井与生产系统供应商。

Bestwishes for a safe and happy new year
As 2015 comes to a close, I would like to thank you for your hard work andcommitment to our company. Despite one of the most severe industry downturns onrecord, we have achieved good progress on our QHSE indicators, delivered strongnew technology sales, and maintained focus on serving our customers.
This year we have been forced to significantly reduce our capacity and overhead.There is no easy way to let go of employees and almost all of us have beenaffected by this difficult process in one way or another. I am sure you willjoin me in wishing well to those people who left Schlumberger in 2015.
One positive is that we are arranging 2,000 incentivized leaves of absence to helpsupport the individuals concerned, and to better prepare us for when theactivity rebounds.
As we face the challenges ahead, I remain confident in our long-term roadmap and thegoals we have established.
Schlumberger has many unique strengths, including our technology, our people, ourorganization, and size. These strengths continue to differentiate us within theindustry, but also put us in a unique position for future growth.
And while 2016 will no doubt be another tough year, there is plenty for us to beoptimistic about.
Our Transformation Program is entering a new phase where we will acceleratedeployment and increase engagement with the organization as we evolve towardour future way of working.
By embracing Our Transformation, we will offset the current business pressures andfurther extend our potential to outperform when the industry turns around.
We are also pursuing a number of exciting market opportunities, including the proposedCameron acquisition, which will set us on the path to becoming the industry'sleading integrated drilling and production systems provider, spanning both thesurface and subsurface.
As we enter the New Year, I urge each of you to stay focused on safety and servicequality.
Please use extra caution at work and at home, and especially when it comes to driving in winter weather conditions.
In addition, please be mindful of roles and responsibilities so that we have goodcoverage during the holiday season.
