My analysis of a poster

 

 

The poster relates to a movie called Inception.It’is toneless and tedious but the red topic is
conspicuous. This poster’s  layout makes significant use of horizontal axis so that the
elements on the left are presented as Given,the elements on the right as New. For example,
some basic information about this film are shown on the right.

In terms of salience,the elements in the image have maximum salience. The tall
construction in the picture on the left are toppling with thick fog and smoke.A group of people which are printed small and fragile are all only looking at the dying world.Unfortunately,they are  too chickenshit to do anything.As in a dream,we are weak because all things are out of control and we can’t change anything. On the right side of this postre, the relatively calm
ocean is a symbol of  the peace part of a dream.And some nasty storm clouds are gathering.  

When it comes to framing, the elements in the image are presented as connected.Although
there are differences between the elements, it’s clearly that the image is complete.
