如同大多数的上海传统里弄，黄浦区的贵州西里弄社区经历了将近一百年的历史过程，存在着较为严重的物质性老化现象，许多家庭内部户内生活空间狭小，设施破损，品质陈旧。目前在里弄住户中，仍然还有40%没有独立卫生间，60%需要使用公用厨房。同时伴随着城市社会变迁的历程，社区内部的结构关系日趋复杂，生活空间分散碎化，不仅导致了日常维护与修缮更新方面的诸多问题，而且由于居民老龄化现象严重，经济能力相对较低，社区共识性下降，居民自我更新能力日益减弱，集体合作意愿不高。
As most of the traditional Lilongs in Shanghai. West Guizhou lilong in Huangpu district has over a century’s history. It is facing the aging challenges, like limited household space, damaged facilities, and outdated life quality. Among the current Lilong households, 40% of them do not have private toilets, 60% of them has to use public kitchens. In the meantime, because of the changing urban social environment, the structure in a neighborhood is more and more complicated. The regrouping of families and the division of common living spaces have created problems regarding daily mainte-nance and restorations. Additionally, Due to the aging problem of the community, the economic abi-lity becomes relatively low, and the community’s consensus declines. Therefore, the residents are less motivated to renovate spaces themselves and are less willing to cooperate with others.

本项目所要探讨的是如何在有限的空间环境里，通过12个社区触媒点的微创性改造，在条件相对有限的情况下，植入相对合理的硬件设施，营造一个1800平方米的社区共享客厅，通过为居民生活提供必要的生活空间，提升公共生活的精神品质，加强场所领域的归属感受，凝聚居民生活的共识性，从而带动社区朝向美好生活的共同努力。

Through this project, we would like to discuss, by using the micro-regeneration designs of twelve community sites, how to insert thoughtful facilities and improve the quality of public life with limited resources. By creating an 1800-square-meter Shared Living space, we want to provide a necessary living area for the residents, improve the quality of public life, enhance the sense of belonging on site, converge the consensus of residents and promote the joint effort towards a better life.

项目的工作对象为1800平方米的里弄空间，包含三条主弄以及数条支弄。长期以来，它们一直都是居民公共生活的重要场所。然而由于一些公共设施的不当布局，以及近年来随着人口变化和出租用房的增加，户外公共环境有所退化，成为缺乏意义界定的消极空间。

The project’s subject is a Lilong of 1800 square meters, which contains three main lanes and sev-eral alleys. For a long time, they have accommodated the public life of the community. However, due to the improper layout of public facilities and the increasing population and rental houses in re-cent years, the outdoor communal environment has deteriorated and become a negative space without functions and meanings.

本项目的工作策略为，针对主弄中的公共环境进行微创性提升改造，尽量利用社区现有资源，以最小干预的方式，针对现有要素进行重组，形成新的格局，带动新的功能。在里弄住房成套率改造困难的前提条件下，将社区现有公共空间进行改善，营造更多的集体性、共享性生活空间，为户内生活环境较为局促的居民提供更多选择，使之成为规模达到1800平方米的公共客厅，引导居民的积极参与，增强居民之间的交流与互动机会，为下一阶段在支弄，以及楼内的更新工作创造更为有利的工作环境。

The strategy is to do the least invasive renovations in the public environment of Lilongs. To mini-mize the interference, the project takes advantage of the existing resources in the community, re-shuffle and regroup them and stimulate new functions. Facing the difficulty of household’s renova-tion in Lilong, the project seeks to improve the public environment, create more community living area, and provide more choices for the residents with limited household space. The project is a Share-Living space of 1,800 square meters.

在更新中尽量利用社区现有资源，以最小干预的方式，针对主弄中的一些闲置、消极的设施进行微更新改造，融入各类社区生活，促使里弄及门洞成为共享性的生活空间，成为汇聚社区生活的场所。

By using the existing recourses on site, the project in-serts micro-interventions in the lanes and alleys, renovates the unused and inactive space in the gateways, and designs public toilets and garbage rooms in the Lilongs. It invites the residents to take part in social lives, encourage interactions, and therefore, bring about a more positive consen-sus for the next phase of Lilong Regeneration.
