一、结果状语
1、 名词作结果状语
She fell ten meters down the rock. 她沿着那座岩石下落了 十米。
He came back a changed person. 他回来了，结果变了一个人。
2、 形容词作结果状语
He pushed the door open. 他把门推开了。
The dog rolled over dead. 那条狗打了个滚就死了。
3、 分词短语作结果状语
He hurried off, forgetting to take his overcoat.他急急忙忙地开了，结果忘了带大衣。
He fell down, costing him his lead. 他跌了一跤，结果失去了领先的优势。
4、 从句作结果状语
引导结果状语从句，我们常用连词so, so that, such that, etc.例如：
He didn’t plan his time well, so (that) he didn’t finish the workin time. 他没有把时间安排好，结果没有及时完成任务。
We left in such a hurry that we forgot to lock the door.我们走得很匆忙，结果望了锁门。
We got up early so that we caught the early bus.我们起得很早，结果赶上了早班车。
