4. Teaching procedures
Step 1: Lead in
Sing a song to students.Before listening,I’ll ask them pay attention to the animals in the song.After listening, I’ll ask them what thy are.
Step 2: Presentation and practice
Activity1:Teach new words
I’ll show the pictures of cows,horses,hens and sheep one by one and ask students, “What are those?” to lead them speak the four animals out one by one. Meanwhile, I’ll write them on blackboard.
Activity2:Practice the new words
1)Read the mew words by high and low voice game. When I read the new words in high voice,they should copy in lower voice. When I read the new words in low voice,they should copy in their highest voice.
2)Read the mew words by guessing game.I’ll copy the sound of each kind of animal to let then guess which animal it is. I’ll ask them,“What are those?”
Activity3:Teach new sentence structure
I’ll ask students, “Do you pay attention to the question I always ask you ?”Then,I’ll write “What are those?”on blackboard. After writing,I’ll tell them they should use “They are...”to answer this question,and give them an example.I’ll write “They are...”on blackboard
Activity4:Practice new sentence structure
Show students the tails of each kind of animals and ask them to make a new dialogue.
Step 3: Production
I’ll hand out some dice paper template to ask students to write down these 4kinds of animals and other two kinds of animals which they like best.Then make a dice to dice to make some new dialogues.At last,select some pairs to show for us.
Step 5: Summary and homework
I will lead the students to summarize what they learned in this class, and ask them “do you like animals?”and tell them animals is our friend,so we should be friendly to then.
it’s important for students to review and practice the knowledge after class. Have students practice the new words and sentence structure by making dialogues with their parents and their friends.
