十大美国顶尖智库

根据麦甘教授2010年的智库报告《2010 "Global Go-To Think Tank Rankings" 》，美国十大顶尖智库名单及简介如下：

1. 布鲁金斯学会：公共政策，包括外交政策。研究相对中立，立场略亲中。|Brookings Institution - The nonprofit public policy organization is consistently ranked as the most influential think tank in the U.S.

2. 外交关系委员会：美国外交政策，坚守美国立场。|Council on Foreign Relations - The nonprofit nonpartisan think tank specializes in U.S. foreign policy. Offices are in Washington DC and New York City.

3. 卡内基国际和平基金会：专注国际合作，兼有中国项目。|Carnegie Endowment for International Peace - The nonprofit organization is dedicated to advancing cooperation between nations and promoting active international engagement by the United States. The organization is based in Washington DC, with additional offices in Moscow, Beijing, Beirut, and Brussels. 

4. 战略与国际研究中心：专注各种政策对政府、国际组织、私人部门和公民社会的影响研究，偏政策分析。|Center for Strategic and International Studies - A public policy research institution dedicated to analysis and policy impact in government, international institutions, the private sector, and civil society. 

5. 兰德公司：聚焦各类公共政策，涉及范围最为广泛。研究相对独立，有较多与中国的合作项目。|RAND Corporation - The global organization focuses on a wide range of issues including health, education, national security, international affairs, law and business, and the environment. RAND is based in Santa Monica, California and has offices throughout the world. It's Washington DC office is located in Arlington, Virginia.

6. 传统基金会：极右保守派，美国传统价值观的倡导者。|Heritage Foundation - The think tank does research on a variety of issues - domestic & economic, foreign & defense, and legal & judicial.

7. 美国企业研究所：推动各地的宪政与民主，宣扬美国价值观。|American Enterprise Institute for Public Policy Research - The nonpartisan, nonprofit institution is dedicated to strengthening free enterprise and conducts research on issues of government, politics, economics, and social welfare.

8. 加图研究所：保守派智库。|Cato Institute - The think tank conducts independent, nonpartisan research on a wide range of policy issues.
