2. 通过话题认识到每个人都是独一无二的,从而树立自信。

Activity One: How are these children special?
活动教具:
学生用书P6-7,笔,纸,外表词汇归纳图1&2,镜子
活动说明:
1.家长与孩子一起谈论学生用书P6-7的图片。
(P =parent; K = kid)
P: This week we will be talking about the idea that everyone is special. Look at this picture. How are these children special? Could you tell me something about their hair?
K: This girl/boy has straight/curly/long/short/brown/black hair.
P: That’s great. Is this boy tall or short?
K: He is tall.
P: You are right. This boy is tall, and this girl is short.
K: What do they wear?
P: This girl is wearing a dress with colorful flowers. That boy is wearing a green T-shirt.
K: Wonderful. Can you find something else that is special?
P: Oh, some teeth of these two girls are missing!
K: Excellent! You are a very good observer.
2. 家长拿出一张纸,在中间画一个圈,写上How We Look,然后再引导孩子归纳一下可以从哪些方面谈论人的外表,在孩子说的同时,家长完成How We Look思维导图。最后使用外表词汇归纳图进行扩展学习。
P: How we look makes us special. How can wetalk about people’s looks?
K: We can talk about hair.
P: You are right. We can talk about thecolor of the hair. Brown hair, black hair…
K: We can say what they wear.
P: Great! Do you have any more ideas?
K: We can talk about tall or short.
P: Yes, here is a chart for you. We candescribe people’s looks from their hair, bodies, eyes and clothes. Sometimes wecan also talk about their features. Read after me, please. (使用外表词汇归纳图)
3. 家长让孩子看着镜子中的自己,谈论自己的外表。
P: Can you tell about yourself? Look intothis mirror. What is special about your eyes?
K: I have ___________ eyes.
P: What does your hair look like?
K: I have ___________ hair.
P: Areyou tall or short?
K: I am ____________.
P: How you look makes you special.
