中心项目成果(一)丨哈玻院复合材料“绿色信号塔台”落地埃及

2023年2月3日,由中国建材总院所属哈尔滨玻璃钢研究院承担的非金属材料创新中心2022年度创新基金项目成果——复合材料“绿色信号塔台”落地埃及。




哈玻院项目团队针对非洲地区的地理环境及挂载需求设计了第一个由复合材料制成的生态友好型无线信号塔。该信号塔采用了两大项目成果,复合材料塔结构设计关键技术和复合材料功能一体化及高效成型技术,整个塔体由聚氨酯树脂和玻璃纤维通过高效拉挤成型工艺制成,使用复合材料塔代替铁塔,有效解决了通讯行业发展规划中的“双碳”难题,助推复合材料在通信基础设施建设领域的应用。

该生态友好型无线信号塔塔高18米,塔身采用绗架结构,通过金属连接件连接而成,整塔质量1.5吨,较金属铁塔相比降低了50%,占地面积2.25㎡,较金属铁塔相比减少了30%,但却能够抵抗140KPH风速(12-13级台风),可承载6个HXWXD天线、1个MW天线(直径0.6m)、6个RRU,较铁塔相比承载数量更多,同时信号塔还配备了爬梯、避雷系统、禁航灯等部件,符合ANSI/TIA 222-G设计规范要求。

通过复合材料替代钢材,显著减少了制造过程中所排放的二氧化碳,复合材料高效的机械化成型工艺可以快速形成批量生产,满足市场供给。复合材料的绝缘特性降低了人身触电风险,使得该塔更安全。复合材料塔采购成本低于传统铁塔,同时复合材料轻质高强及优异的耐候性大幅度降低了该塔运输安装成本及后期的巡检及维护成本,全寿命周期成本大大低于传统铁塔。

中心创新基金项目紧紧围绕行业发展诉求,突出非金属材料的工程应用和产业化前景,重点支持非金属材料在建筑及施工中的技术创新,解决行业共性的痛点问题,为推动全球低碳、绿色基础设施建设发挥重要作用。

NEXCEL Project Demonstration No.1 - Composite Lattice Tower Built in Egypt by Harbin FRP Research Institute
On February 3rd, 2023, FRP composite 'green lattice tower', one of demonstration projects of NEXCEL 2022 program implemented by Harbin FRP Research Institute under CBMA, was built in Egypt.




According to the geographical environment and mounting requirements in Africa, the project team of Harbin FRP Research Institute has designed and built the first eco-friendly wireless lattice tower made from FRP composite in Africa. The lattice tower adopts two major project outcomes, 'key technology of composite tower structure design' and 'composite function integration and high efficiency molding technology'. The whole tower body is made of polyurethane resin and glass fiber after the high efficiency pultrusion molding process. The FPR composite tower effectively addressed the 'double carbon' problems faced by telecoms, and boosting the application of composite materials in the communication infrastructure construction sector.

The eco-friendly wireless lattice tower is 18 meters high and 1.5 tons in weight, which is 50% lower than that of the steel tower. And it covers an area of 2.25 m², which is 30% lower than that of the steel one. However, it can withstand 140 KPH wind speed (level 12-13), and can carry 6 HXWXD antennas, 1 MW antenna (diameter 0.6m), and 6 RRUs. At the same time, the lattice tower is also equipped with ladder, lightning protection system, navigation lights and other components, which meets the requirements of ANSI/TIA 222-G design specification.

Substitution of steel with FRP composite significantly reduces carbon dioxide emissions during steel manufacturing. The efficient mechanical forming process can rapidly form batch production to meet the market supply. The insulation characteristics of FRP composite reduce the risk of electric shock. The procurement cost of the composite tower is lower than that of the traditional iron tower. At the same time, because light weight, high strength and excellent weather resistance, FRP composite products have greatly reduced the transportation and installation cost as well as the inspection and maintenance cost. Therefore, the life-cycle cost is much lower than that of the traditional tower.

NEXCEL program closely focus on the sector development requirements, highlight the engineering application and industrialization prospects of NM materials, support the technical innovation of NM materials, address the challenges in engineering applications, and reducing global carbon footprint.
