“If the cap fits, wear it.”
But in daily conversation, we usually just use the first half of the sentence 'if the cap fits' to remind someone that if others’ advice is right, they should accept it.
The phrase first appeared in the 1600, used in a literary work called《PASUIL's fools-cap》.
In the United States, the phrase is more often used as “If the shoes fit...” or “If the slipper fits...” influenced by the Cinderella story.
