这首曲子是《美国偶像》(American Idol)第十季中绝种好男人Chris Medina的单曲专辑。虽然止步24强，但是这首曲子却在网络上广为流传。
2009年10月2日，订婚后两年，那个美丽的女孩因为车祸事故，脑部受到重创，康复后智力只有2岁，生活完全不能够自理。但Chris不离不弃。 后来Chris参加了美国偶像，为的就是赚到更多的钱让未婚妻受到更好的治疗过上更好的生活。虽然最后还是止步于全国24强，但《What are words》这首充满爱的歌已经牢牢地印在人们的心里 !

这首歌是MarcEric Terenzi 马克·埃里克·特伦茨 作为结婚特别礼物献给爱妻Sarah Connor 莎拉·寇娜。而这正与歌后Sarah 《Living to love you》(为你而生)一曲相呼应，MarcEric 特意在俩人婚礼仪式进行前弹着钢琴唱出《Love to be loved by you》，歌名有些绕口，不过Sarah 听着即将成为丈夫的MarcEric 唱完后和在场的伴娘都哭了。
那刻，他们是最幸福的恋人！相信很多人都听过俩人还曾合唱过的一首金曲《Just one last Dance》。
婚礼在西班牙的海边举行，德国电视台全线直播。在婚礼仪式之前MarcEric 特别在海边弹着钢琴当着众人对即将成为自己妻子的Sarah 演唱秘密写好的新歌《Love to be loved by you》。在场的许多人都被听哭，Sarah 也落下了幸福的泪

Luther Vandross，中文译名:路德·范德鲁斯。著名的黑人R&B大师。1951年4月20日出生于美国纽约最北部的Bronx区，作为最伟大的黑人男歌手之一，拥有超过两千万张的唱片销售记录，被他富有魔力的嗓音所征服的听众数以亿计。
Richard Marx和Luther共同创作了《Dance With My Father》，作为给父亲的纪念。这首歌曲是Luther自己真实的故事,一个7岁孩子的记忆,一点点忧伤更多地却是那些遥远而温暖的细节和情绪在歌曲中倾注了自己对父亲深深的怀念,清淡的钢琴伴奏,和他伤感的演唱,在爱里透露出更多的是伤感。此曲获第46届格莱美音乐的年度最佳歌曲。父子深情，在歌曲中展现得淋漓尽致。歌曲的代入感非常强，听着听着便潸然泪下，好像看到了父亲带着年幼的自己玩耍的情景。
