An investigation has been launched by officials in the city of Shuangcheng, Northeast China's Heilongjiang Province, after a woman accused a deputy to the local People's Congress of coercing her into a sexual relationship more than a decade ago, the Beijing News reported Sunday.
Wang Dechun, 42, who calls herself an anchor for the city's television station, said on her Sina Weibo on Friday that local congress deputy Sun Dejiang, who is also general manager of a local industrial company, used his power to coerce her into a relationship that began before 1999.
Wang's Weibo account, Wangliulang 2012, contained a photo of her press card and her mother's social security account, which were supposed to prove her identity.
Wang's account and all the postings were deleted Saturday, but hours later a new account under the same name was opened with the same complaint letter and photographed documents.
An official with the publicity department of the CPC Shuangcheng City Committee confirmed to the Beijing Times over the weekend that Wang had not come to work at the television station for years and couldn't be reached as she was out of town.
