为了防止鸟类前来大声喧哗、随地大小便或者筑巢安家,有些建筑会安装防鸟尖刺,让一些鸟类无法落脚。
但现在,有些“愤怒的小鸟”把这些防鸟尖刺通通拔掉,叼回家当作筑巢材料,在爱巢里繁育出更多的小鸟。
不仅如此,这些“愤怒的小鸟”还和人类一样,用这些防鸟尖刺来防其它的鸟。

这些防鸟刺可能是从鸟巢旁边的医院屋顶边缘收集的,那里的大部分防鸟刺已经消失,只留下一些安装胶水的痕迹。之前还有乌鸦从附近的建筑工地叼走防鸟刺。

喜鹊和乌鸦虽然都属于鸦科家族,但两者经常因为争取食物、领地、筑巢材料、保护幼鸟等原因发生激烈的冲突。其中,体形更大的乌鸦一般是侵略者。
这反映出了鸟类惊人的适应性,以及它们保护爱巢的决心。除了保护鸟巢,这些尖刺还可以作为展示品,给潜在的配偶留下深刻的印象。不过,研究人员也表示这些还需要更多的证据来做进一步的证明。
“我希望人们拥抱城市野生动物,而不是用尖刺来对付它们。”
