Crows and Ravens

The raven was jealous of the raven, who was respected and worshipped as a divine bird who could predict the future. The crow was eager to gain the same fame. One day, a crow saw that some passers-by were coming, so it flew to a branch by the roadside and began to crow as loudly as it could. Pedestrians were a little dismayed to hear the crow, for they feared it might be a bad omen. Until one of them found the crow and said to his companions, 'It's all right, my friends, let's not be afraid any more. It's only a crow. It's nothing serious.'

If you have no ability and pretend to be an expert, you will only be laughed at in the end.

乌鸦和渡鸦

乌鸦非常嫉妒渡鸦，因为渡鸦作为一只能预测未来的神鸟，受到了人们的尊敬和崇拜。乌鸦非常渴望自己也能得到同样的好名声。一天，乌鸦见几个行人正要走过来，就飞到路旁的一根树枝上，竭力地大声鸣叫。行人听到乌鸦的叫声感到有点儿沮丧，因为他们担心这可能是不祥的预兆。直到其中一人发现了乌鸦，对他的同伴们说：“没关系，朋友们，我们别再害怕了，那不过是一只乌鸦，没什么大不了的。”

没有本领，还要冒充内行，到头来只能招人耻笑。
