Write an essay commenting on the remark “It Is Perseverance That Makes All the Difference”（坚持是最重要的）
It is universally acknowledged that perseverance goes hand in hand with success. In other words, perseverance is of supreme importance to both academic achievement and career fulfillment. The reason why a great number of individuals have failed in their work or studies is that they lack perseverance when confronted with difficulties and hardship.
这篇文章是一篇立论文，因此一开始就表明观点。It is universally acknowledged that……”众所周知”，后面跟一个观点句。go hand in hand with…“密不可分，和…有密切联系”，既可以表示积极的问题，也可以表示消极，例如The issue of environmental pollution goes hand in hand with the following aspects. “环境污染问题和下列方面密不可分”。In other words “换句话说”，后面内容是对前面内容的进一步解释，是递进逻辑。be of supreme importance to…“对…至关重要”，例句：Rational consumption is of supreme importance to the mental as well as physical health of college students. “理性消费对于大学生的身心健康非常重要.” 短语be confronted with “面对着，面临着，遇到”，这里是when done结构，是一个省略句，在写作中是加分句型。
First and foremost, it is the desirable quality of perseverance that may enable us to accomplish our goals successfully and consistently. Consider Champions of the Olympic Games, who have taken advantage of this favorable trait to get ahead. What is more, perseverance,in most high achievers’ eyes, may be the most outstanding characteristic that allows them to leave average folks far behind.
第二段从正面论述坚持的重要性，并用了例证。第二段首句继续使用it is …that...强调句型。 Consider+n表示举例，然后在后面跟了一个who引起的定语从句，总结起来的句型是Consider sb, who havedone sth. 例句：Consider China’s Women’s volleyball team,who has won the Championship against adversity. “以中国女排为例，她们就是克服了阻力获得了冠军”. 短语get ahead “获得成功，取得进步”。What is more “另外”，后面句中用到了插入语， 在主语perseverance和谓语may be之间，意为“在大多数成功人士看来”，短语allow sb to do sth “使某人能够做某事”，短语leave average folks far behind意为“把普通人甩在身后，即为取得成功，比别人优秀”
Without perseverance, on the other hand, it is inevitable for us to encounter failure and defeat. I myself serve as a good example. Five years ago I enrolled in a swimming course, but due to my lack of perseverance I still swim like a rock now. I stopped halfway and all my previous efforts turned out to be fruitless. Therefore, I firmly believe that it is perseverance that makes all the difference.
第三段反面论证，如果没有毅力则不会取得成功。Without句型是最常用做反证的句型，这里是Without sth, it is inevitable for sb to do sth. “如果没有…，某人一定会做某事”。后面用自己举例，注意举例句型sb serves as a good example. 最后重申观点，可以重复题目表达方式。

总所周知，坚持和成功是密不可分的。换句话说，坚持对于学术成就和事业上的成功都很重要。很多人之所以在工作和学习中失败就是因为当他们遇到困难的时候，缺乏毅力。
首先，正是坚持这种优秀的品质使得我们能够成功并不断的实现我们的目标。以奥运会的冠军们为例，他们就是充分利用这个特质而取得胜利的。另外，在大多数成功人士看来，坚持是最重要的品质，这个品质使他们比别人优秀。
另一方面，如果没有坚持，我们不可避免的会遇到失败和挫折。我自己就是一个例子。五年前，我曾经参加一个游泳培训，但是因为我缺乏毅力，到目前为止我仍然是旱鸭子。我中途放弃了，因此我之前所有的努力都白费了。因此，我坚定的认为坚持是最重要的。
