慕尼黑啤酒节（又称“十月节”，Oktoberfest）每年九月末到十月初在德国的慕尼黑举行，持续两周，是慕尼黑一年中最盛大的活动。2002年大约有六百万人参加了啤酒节，许多其他城市也效法慕尼黑举办“十月节”。
活动一共举行16天，到十月的第一个星期天为止，举行的地点是一个叫做"Theresienwiese"的地方，巴伐利亚方言简称为"Wiesen"(意为牧场)。为了这个活动专门酿制的一种啤酒叫做Wiesenbier，注意不要和Märzen混淆，比一般的啤酒颜色更深，酒劲儿也更大，上酒的时候用的是一种叫做“Maß”的容量一升的大酒杯，现场搭建起容纳三千到一万人的大帐篷，只有慕尼黑当地的酒商才被允许在里边提供这种酒。酒客们也消耗掉大量的食物，大多是传统的家常小吃如香肠、烤小鸡、泡菜和烤牛尾等。
据说十月节的前身来自于丰收的农夫，在出售农产品并从市集中购买了农产品之后，一年有这么一次饮酒狂欢的日子。
第一届的十月节举行于1810年的十月12日到17日，为了庆祝巴伐利亚王子路德维希一世和萨克森-希德伯格豪森公主特雷莎的婚礼尔举行了一场赛马。因为这次活动的成功，十月节成了每年固定的活动，后来加入了农产品集市、舞蹈、音乐、骑马游览等项目。至今总共有24年的活动因为战争、疾病和其他原因被取消。赛马在1960年停止了。
在慕尼黑啤酒节上，人们身着巴伐利亚的传统服装，在大帐篷里饮酒，歌唱，跳舞，可以到晚上一两点。但是如今的啤酒节最晚的上酒时间到10点半就结束了。
1980年9月26日，活动入口处一枚炸弹爆炸，造成13人死亡，伤200多人。炸弹是由一个21岁的新纳粹分子安放的，他在爆炸中当场身亡。
