There be句型的用法

一、用法

There be 主要用来表示“某地有某物”。

There be句型中be的形式随着后面的名词变化而变化，当be后面接的是单数可数名词和不可数名词用is；

There is a book on the desk.

There is some water in the glass.

当be后面接的是复数可数名词用are。

There are some books on the desk.

当be后既有单数名词也有复数名词，要用就近原则。

There is a book and three pens on the desk.

There are two books and a pen on the desk.

否定句

There be的否定句是直接在be后加not，not可以缩略为't。若句中有some，一般要改为any。

There aren't any books on the desk.

There isn't any water in the glass.

There be句型的一般疑问句，把be提到句首即可。

肯定回答：Yes, there is/are，

否定回答：No, there isn't/aren't。

句中有some，也要改为any。

Is there a book on the desk?

Yes, there is.

No, there isn't.

Are there any pens on the pencil-box?

Yes, there are.

No, there aren't.
