一、用 形容词原级表示比较级含义

Your character is not as active as Mary's.

你的性格不如玛丽的性格活跃。

LiLei is not as smart as Li Ming.

李雷不如李明聪明。

LiLei is less stupid than LiMing.

李雷没有李明笨。

Li Ming is cleverer than LiLei.

李明比李雷聪明。

二、 用比较级表示最高级

杰克是班里最高的男生。

①Jack is taller than any other boy in the class.

杰克比班上任何其他男孩都高。

②Jack is the tallest boy in the class.

杰克是班上最高的男孩。

三、① the more….. the more….②the+比较级……the+比较级（表示“越……越……”）

△The more fruits and vegetables you eat, the healthier you will be.

你吃的水果和蔬菜越多，你就会越健康。

△The harder you study, the more knowledge you gain.

你学习越努力，你获得的知识就越多。

△The more careful you are, the fewer mistakes you make.

你越细心，犯的错误就越少。

△The more books you read, the wider your knowledge is.

你读的书越多，你的知识面就越广。

△The more junk food you eat, the fatter you are. 你吃得垃圾食品越多，你就越胖。

△The less you exercise, the worse your health will be.

你锻炼得越少，你的健康就会越差。

四、 more and more…./比较级+and+比较级（表示“越来……越……”）

①More and more people realize the importance of protecting the earth.

越来越多的人意识到保护地球的重要性。

②America's ambition to dominate the world is becoming stronger and stronger.

美国主宰世界的野心正变得越来越强烈了。

③More and more middle school students realized the importance of protecting their eyes.

越来越多的中学生意识到保护眼睛的重要性。

④Our great country is becoming stronger and stronger.

我们伟大的国家正变得越来越强大了。

⑤The more vegetation on the earth, the earth's environment will become better and better.地球上的植被越多，地球的环境就会变得越来越好。

五、too…to的用法

1.too…to与 so…that sb. can’t…的句型转换：前者为简单句，主语只有一个，而后者为复合句，主语有两个，试比较：

△The boy is too young to carry the heavy box. =The boy is so young that he can't carry the heavy box.

这个男孩太小，以致不能搬动这个重箱子。

△lt was too hot to put on my coat.

=It was so hot that I put on my coat.

天气太热了，以致我不能穿外套。

2.too…to…与 not enough to句型的转换

①Jack has too little money to buy a computer.

杰克的钱太少了，买不起电脑。

=Jack has not enough money to buy a computer.

杰克没有足够的钱买一台电脑。

②The little girl is too young to go to school.这个小女孩年龄太小了，不能上学。

=The little girl is not old enough to go to school. 这个小女孩还不到上学的年龄。
