扁执壶器型的由来：
扁壶器型应是从游牧民族的皮囊壶转化而来的，在辽、金时期部分北方瓷窑就开始烧制穿带壶，这是以皮囊壶为原本适于马背民族生活习惯的新品种瓷器。到了元代，古波斯归属于中国的中央皇朝，中东的金银器也开始为朝廷所喜欢，因此这种穿带扁壶又变成了与金银器相似的扁方形状。
